ClearDeal ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the ClearDeal iOS application uses, where it goes, and why.
The short version: ClearDeal has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number. Your saved deals stay on your phone.
1. Information We Collect
Property data: Addresses and listing links you look up are sent to our server and to Rentcast to retrieve property details and comparable sales.
Deal numbers: When you request an AI verdict, the deal's numbers, property type, city and state, and any notes you typed are sent to our server and to OpenAI to generate the analysis.
Device identifier: The app creates a random identifier on your device and sends it with lookups and AI requests so we can enforce plan limits and prevent abuse. It is not linked to your name or any account.
IP address: Like any internet service, our server sees your IP address when the app connects. We use it only to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse.
Purchases: Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on your device. We never receive your payment card details.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across apps or websites. Usage statistics the app keeps stay on your device.
2. How We Use Information
To look up property data and comparable sales.
To generate AI deal analysis.
To enforce plan limits and protect the service from abuse.
To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
ClearDeal uses the following services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
Supabase: Hosts our server functions, a cache of property lookup results, and the counters used for rate limiting. No user accounts are stored.
Rentcast: Provides property details, valuations, and comparable sales. Property addresses you look up are sent to Rentcast.
OpenAI: Powers the AI verdict. Deal numbers and notes are sent to OpenAI to generate the analysis. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default.
Saved deals, notes, and your pipeline are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. Property lookup results, which contain public property data and are not linked to you, are cached on our server so repeat lookups are faster. Rate-limiting counters are used only to prevent abuse.
5. Your Rights
Because ClearDeal has no accounts, the data on your device is fully under your control: use "Clear All History" in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. For any question or request about data on our servers, contact us at support@getcleardeal.app.
6. Children's Privacy
ClearDeal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of ClearDeal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
